How to reach:
By Air: The nearest airports are the Trabzon Airport and Shirak International that handle both National and International Traffic. Rafting can begin at Erzurum or Bayburt. While Erzurum has a domestic airport nearby, for Bayburt, Erzurum and Erzincan Airports that are around 116 and 134 km away, can be used. These handle domestic flights.
By Train: Turkey is well connected internationally by train to Athens, Munich, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Croatia etc. These trains connect these cities to Istanbul. From here, trains can be taken to other cities of Turkey. There are also trains running to and from Armenia.
By Road: Turkey has international Bus services, perhaps faster than trains that connect it to European cities. Some of these buses are from places such as Vienna, Frankfurt, Georgia, Syria and Iran.
By Sea: Turkey is connected to international ports via ferries. There are car ferry services run by Turkish Maritime Lines from Marmaris, Antalya and Izmir connecting them to Venice. Private ferries are also available from Greek Islands.
