How to reach:
By Air: The nearest International airports are the Albuquerque International and the Denver International airport. Besides these there are two domestic airports nearby, the Los Alamos County Airport and the Santa Fe Municipal Airport. Shuttle service and buses are available.
By Train: Commuter trains connect Albuquerque to Santa Fe. Bus shuttles are available from Santa Fe station to Taos.
By Road: Taos is not easily accessible by road due to its position and some passes maybe closed for the winter. However, there are few options. From Denver and other northern areas, Interstate Highway 25 can be used up to Raton and then US Highway 64 or Colorado State Road 159 south up to New Mexico which then becomes New Mexico state road 552 can be used. Two routes from Santa Fe and Albuquerque are also available and can be used for entry into Taos.
Chili Line local buses are available that offer connectivity to Taos. Ski season service is also available. There is Taos Ski Valley Shuttle and private shuttle between ABQ, Santa Fe and Taos. Local Taxi, Charter Bus Service, Regional shuttle is also available to North Central NM area. The North Central Regional Transit District Blue Buses are also available that connect nearby counties.
