Green Lake, Austria
Styria in Southern Austria is a mountainous, forested state known for its excellent wine, splendid spas and divine nature. Styria is specially known as the ‘Green Heart of Austria’ because of its ‘Gruner See’ or ‘Green Lake’, which flows in the village named Tragob. The beautiful forests and grand Hochschwab Mountains are very captivating because they are situated around the splendid ‘Green Lake’. The mind blowing emerald green water of the lake is the main reason behind its name.
Green Lake has been called the ‘Diamond Gem’ in Austria’s crown, due to the natural phenomenon that occurs here every spring. The snow melts off from the Karst Mountains and the park with its benches, a bridge, trees and flowers gets covered with water.
Very cold but crystal clear water becomes a hot spot for divers then, who want to experience the exquisite and other enticing scenes. This place is indeed a fantasy land for the scuba divers, for underwater adventures because of the crystal clear water of this lake. The green grass and foliage of the park at the bottom makes the water look green because of which the lake got its name.
To sum up, we can say that there are many beautiful places in Austria, but Green Lake has been called ‘the Most Beautiful Place in Austria’.
